Beer and Tourism | Eugenio Signoroni – Slow Food Planet

Eugenio Signoroni reflects on the strong link between craft beer, territorial identity and tourism development.

One of the most evident features of the Italian craft beer scene is that many breweries are located outside major urban centres, in places that may be little known but are often rich in landscape value, monuments and local gastronomic traditions. This makes beer not only a product, but also a gateway to places, communities and stories.

Beer tourism can therefore become a powerful lever for minor destinations, especially when breweries are able to connect production, hospitality and narrative in a coherent visitor experience.
